Applications are being sought for projects with funding needs within the Community

Recipients will be able to apply for a grant and depending on the number of applications, you may receive all of part of your request Grants of up to $2000 are available

Applications must be submitted by the 31st of March 2021 With the award presentation on May 11th, 2021 Grant recipients will ne notified and invited to the presentation dinner

Community Grant Guidelines

Grant Guidelines
The Rotary Club of Southern Districts is committed to supporting local based not for profit, Incorporated organisations, associations, or social enterprises
[such as community groups or clubs]

These guidelines relate to eligible organisations, entities or individuals wishing to apply for a grant towards their specific program, event, or initiative

Grants will only be considered if the Applicant is:
• Not for profit group
• An incorporated organisation or association [such as community groups. Clubs or associations]
• Either incorporated or unincorporated not for profit social enterprise business
• A school, college support group such as a P&C or similar group
• An individual undertaking a not for profit venture, enterprise, or event

The applicant must:
• Not receive most of its funding from another source including Local, State or Commonwealth authority funding
• Be active in fund raising and demonstrate that fund raising for the purpose of the organisation is part of their activity
• Provide a community service creating goodwill and friendship, and the grant will deliver a meaningful benefit to the local community

Grants will not be considered if the applicant is:

• A Local, State or Commonwealth authority
• Is a school, college or university department or governing body
• Is a private or public company
• Applying for retrospective payments
• Applying for salaries, wages, or management fees

Definitions:
• A Social Enterprise is a revenue gathering business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to deliver profit to shareholders or owners
• A not for profit is an organisation that has rules that do not allow it to distribute profits or assets to is members, the people who run it, their friends, relatives or associates while it is operating or winding up

Will need to attend The Rotary Club of Southern Districts Rotary Grants Awards Night Dinner

to be held on May 11th, 2021 at 6.00pm for 6.30pm start at the Gosnells Golf Club to receive your cheque

You are welcome to bring guests

The cost of the dinner, drinks and event is at your own expense.

All photos and details about the night will be able to be used by the Rotary Club of Southern Districts for marketing purposes.
